The Dequachim Story: The digitalization of a chemical industry
Dequachim is a company active in the chemical industry. They operate according to a circular economy model. Concretely, they buy by-products or chemical waste from other industries, re-treat/transform them in their factory, and resell the purified or transformed products (often non-chemical products at the base that become so, or vice versa).
Their needs
The client was already using a custom ERP that was slow and tedious to use. Dequachim wanted to renew their management software and had critical needs such as:
Quality Management: Increased rigor on analyses and certificates is indispensable to ensure quality control across the entire activity.
Reporting: Need for a tool for steering the activity.
Production steering: Managing the transformation of materials and precise tracking of their stocks.
Complex commercial tracking: Managing volume commitments over the year with their clients (framework contracts).
The Idealis solution
An Odoo solution covering Sales, Purchase, Inventory flows, but with strong specificities:
- Smart Quality : Intensive use of the Quality module to manage mandatory laboratory tests and deliver certificates of analysis to clients.
- Smart Analytics : Implementation of dynamic dashboards for managerial tracking.
- Specific development "Sales Contracts": Development of a bespoke "volume contracts" in Odoo.
- Production: A particular focus was placed on the elaboration of their production flow in Odoo with quality controls that are indispensable to their industry.
The benefits
Precise steering: The "Smart Quality + Smart Analytics" combo offers them fine tracking of production and material quality, advantageously replacing Excel files.
Structuring: Transition from artisanal management to structured industrial processes (stock tracking, production).
Adapted commercial management: The development on framework contracts allows for precise tracking of clients' volume commitments, which was impossible previously.
